1. Client-Side WebAssembly Architecture
At HateMyPDF, privacy is engineered into our technical foundation rather than added as a policy promise. Every PDF tool, image format converter, developer utility, text processor, and calculator operates 100% locally within your web browser using modern WebAssembly (WASM), HTML5 Canvas, and Web Worker threads.
When you select or drop a file into any tool, your browser loads that file directly into local device RAM. Processing takes place locally on your hardware. You can verify this anytime by disconnecting your internet connection or inspecting your browser's Developer Tools Network Tab during file execution.
2. Zero Data Retention & Immediate RAM Purging
Because HateMyPDF does not utilize server upload endpoints for file processing:
- We never store, inspect, view, or retain copies of your documents, images, or code.
- Your document contents, text inputs, and processed files exist exclusively in transient RAM.
- Once you navigate away, refresh, or close your browser tab, all transient file memory is instantly freed by your operating system's garbage collector.
3. Cookies, Analytics, & Network Privacy
We maintain a strict cookie-free experience. We do not place tracking cookies, advertising identifiers, or invasive user fingerprinting scripts on your browser.
We monitor anonymous static page request counts (such as aggregate pageview counts) solely to evaluate CDN bandwidth capacity and server infrastructure health. These static request logs contain zero personal information, file details, or user content payloads.
4. Local Browser Storage & Preferences
Some tools may utilize standard HTML5 localStorage or sessionStorage solely to save non-sensitive local user interface preferences (such as dark mode state or password generator rules). This data resides entirely on your device and can be cleared at any time in your browser settings.
5. Children's Online Privacy & Compliance
HateMyPDF is suitable for users of all ages. Because we do not collect personal identification information, email addresses, or user files, our platform fully complies with international digital privacy regulations including GDPR, CCPA, and COPPA.
